Ten Weeks

Okay, so since the temperature reached well into the 70s today at our house, we thought it would (finally) be a beautiful night for a walk on the Lakewalk. You may remember we made a few attempts at this earlier this spring and had to go home due to arriving there to find high winds and bone-chilling temperatures. You would think we would learn how different the weather can be down by the lake. But no. We arrived there once again underdressed for the weather. You can (sort of) see that we were able to keep Cole nice and toasty however! We all enjoyed using Cole's new jogging stroller. He's in there. Really. It was seriously this cold.

Bouncy Seat

Cole got a bouncy seat from my friend Brenda's (Bren) sister Stacy in Colorado, and boy does he LOVE it! I attached this light-blinking, music-playing thing from his Baby Einstein Play Gym that is motion-activated, so when he bounces, lights flash and music plays! I'm not sure he's made the connection between the movement and the music, but he sure is mesmerized by the lights and sound. I, of course, posed over him with a camera to capture his intense expression.

Say cheese!!

Cole was all smiles for mommy this morning, and she managed to hold herself to only 20 pictures or so - thank God for digital photography! At this point, daddy should point out that if the camera had been in his hands, there would have been 50 pics...it's like I'm a new dad or something. On Saturday, the four of us (Bailey included) went up the North Shore for some lunch at the Coho Cafe in Tofte, four wheeling up to Carlton Peak, and a hike on the Gitche Gumee trail to Split Rock Lighthouse. The weather was gorgeous, and we all had a great time!

Pool Party!!!!

Cole's new girlfriend Celia came up to Duluth for a visit with her parents, Erin and Jeff Skubic. They were staying at the Inn on Lake Superior, so we went to meet them for pizza. Our other friends, Josh and Brenda Schomberg and Nate, Laura, and Thor Rickard came too! Cole had his first experience in the swimming pool in his new surfboard swim trunks....a little chilly at first, but he got used to it and even seemed to enjoy it! Good thing....he'll be spending a lot of time around water! We also had cake to celebrate Jeff's birthday. It was also Celia's 6 month birthday and Cole's 2 month birthday. Thanks, guys! We had a blast!

Happy Easter!!

Cole is very excited about the Resurrection!! Okay, so he might not entirely understand the meaning of Easter yet, but he sure is happy about something! I think we have Grandma Iverson to thank for these grins.

SMILE!!!

I finally captured one of Cole's adorable smiles on camera! Okay, I know it's blurry and pixelated....Sorry! He was moving and Ryan had the camera at work with him today so out of desperation I took this picture with my phone. Hopefully next time I will be prepared for his adorable smile with the proper equipment!

Seven Weeks

Cole seems to be starting to smile purposefully these days, although his parents have yet to capture one on camera. He has been enjoying his bouncy seat and yesterday took his first trip to the vet's office...only to find out his dog tested positive for Lymes Disease! Ryan had to bring in a urine sample...collecting that was quite an experience! Get well soon, Bailey!
